This DIY blanket ladder is a simple afternoon build thanks to pocket holes and just two cut lengths. It makes a great holiday gift and the sizing is perfect for displaying handmade quilts.

Materials

Wood Products

  • 3 Boards (we chose cedar) , 2" x 2" x 8'

Hardware & Supplies

  • 20 2 1/2" pocket-hole screws (see tool list)
  • 1 Sandpaper
  • 1 Clear sealer (and paint or stain of choice)

Cut List & Parts

  • 2 Boards , 6 1/2' (one end cut at a 5 degree angle)
  • 5 Boards , 18"

Directions

  • Cut boards

    Cut boards according to cut list

  • Drill pocket holes

    Drill pocket holes in both ends of the ladder rungs

  • Sand

    Sand all the wood pieces until smooth

  • Assemble

    Assemble the ladder using pocket hole screws, spacing the rungs 11” apart starting from the top. The space below the bottom rung will be slightly larger.

  • Finish

    Finish your ladder to your preference- we chose a clear sealer to highlight the natural sealer.
