  • 4 Roof edges , 5 3/4" mitered outside edge
  • 1 Roof support , 6 1/2"

Directions

  • Create legs

Cut four pieces of wood to 12 inches. Drill two pocket holes into one short side of each leg.

  • Cut front and back beams

Cut two pieces of wood to 8 inches that will serve as the front and back top support beams.

  • Cut side beams

Cut two pieces of wood to 6 1/2 inches and drill two pocket holes on each side of each piece.

  • Connect beams

Clamp down your corners and use your 1 1/4 inch Kreg screws to connect the side beams to the interior of the front and back beams flush on the sides.

  • Attach legs to square beams

Use 1 1/4 inch Kreg screws to attach each of the four legs to the square beams you just created.

  • Create base for plant

Cut two pieces of wood 6 1/2 inches long and two pieces of wood 5 inches long and drill pocket holes into each short side of each piece.

  • Attach plant base

Then attach the two short pieces to the interior of the two long pieces and attach that whole thing to the legs of the stand, approximately 4 inches up from the bottom.

  • Cut roof pieces

Cut four pieces of wood with 45 degree mitered sides, with the length of the long edge being 5 3/4 inches long.

  • Cut middle roof beam

Cut a 6 1/2 inch piece of wood for the middle beam and drill pocket holes into each end.

  • Attach beam to angled roof pieces

Use 1 1/4 inch Kreg screws to attach the middle beam to the angled pieces to form the roof.

  • Attach roof to house

Use Kreg screws if you are able to drill 45 degree pocket holes. Otherwise, use wood glue on the base of each angled piece and clamp down the roof to the rest of the house.

  • Stain or paint

Stain or paint your wood house plant stand to match the decor of your home.
